The following categories of persons are eligible to become the life members of the Endocrine Society of India (ESI) :

1. A person who holds a postgraduate degree in Endocrinology (DM/DNB) from a recognized institute in India shall be eligible to become life-members.
2. A person who holds a postgraduate degree in Endocrinology from a recognized institute abroad after undergoing two / three years residency program duly recognized and registered by either the Medical Council of India or State Medical Council shall be eligible to be enrolled as a life-member of the society after their application is duly considered and approved by the credential committee.
3. A person who holds a postgraduate degree in basic life sciences or a research Doctorate degree in the basic or applied endocrinology and is engaged in scientific work in the field of endocrinology evidenced through his/her profession and/or scientific activities shall be eligible to be enrolled as a member of the society after their application is duly considered and approved by the credential committee.
